We have always boughten the lastest and greatest hot wheels sets for both of our boys (8 yr & 5 yrs). They never stay together and most you can just watch.

We got this as a birthday present and neither of them have stopped playing with it since. It stays together and is very durable as far as the pounding on it and things like that go.

We have decided to scrap all the hot wheels sets and trade in for the Matchbox Hero City sets.
